Footsteps Across the Linyanti

A walking focused Adventure safari along the Linyanti Marsh (in the Chobe Enclave)

The Footsteps Across the Linyanti in the Chobe Enclave exposes you to the heartbeat of Africa, a one of its kind opportunity to experience the best of this spectacular continent on foot. On arrival at Saile Private Airstrip, guests are met by their guide. Their luggage is then taken ahead by vehicle to the camp and guests immediately begin the first day of their walking safari.

Tailored to the capabilities of your group and what your interests include, we arrange for many stops including refreshment breaks, picnic breakfasts, and lunches. This safari is focused on adventure and maintains the highest flexibility of distances walked each day. The camp remains at one location and walks are conducted in the surrounding area allowing for close-up encounters with elephants, buffalo, and lion.

These encounters on foot are not uncommon and are in the hands of professional guides whose first passion is to interpret and bring to life every aspect of the African Bush to our clients. The Linyanti area is best known for its large populations of elephant and buffalo that congregate in vast numbers especially during the dry season. Lion, sable, roan, leopard, wild dog, as well as a number of the plains game can be enjoyed in the Linyanti. The rare and elusive sitatunga antelope, red lechwe, hippo and crocodile can be found in the surrounding marshes. Accommodation is in Meru-style spacious tents with comfortable beds and en-suite private bathroom facilities.
